Jenkins Creek County Park

jenkins creekJenkins Creek Park offers a great variety of outdoor opportunities in an area of outstanding natural resources. Featuring coastal swamps, waterways and uplands, man-made canals and natural springs, the county park has all the ingredients to satisfy your taste.

Divided by Shoal Line Blvd, the west side has its own parking area and a long fishing pier where blue crab is a popular catch. A foot bridge leads to a small section with views over the coastal marshes towards Bayport.

boat rampA boat ramp accommodates small vessels (they have to pass a low bridge to enter the Gulf) and is a great access point to the coastal waterways. A few picnic tables provide incredible views of our Florida sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.

no lifeguardAcross the street, additional facilities include a small inland beach area (no lifeguard on duty), picnic tables, playground and handicapped fishing pier. A three-story watch tower presents a wonderful panoramic vista of Hernando County’s coastal lowlands. Unless you have a boat trailer or use the beach area, parking is free.
